It’s trendy these days to use buzzwords like “local,” “sustainable,” “hand-crafted”, “farm-to-table” when describing one’s restaurant. The truth is, everyone likes good food, surrounded by friends, family, and neighbors – that is what we are all about. The food we create is sourced locally where possible from area farmers, ranchers and cheese makers. The result is both something excitingly fresh and familiar. We celebrate living in a rural hub of producers by featuring its tastiest products.
Beyond the food, we’ve uncovered a historic gem in the center of downtown Burley and painstakingly restored and updated one of the oldest main street landmarks. We used locally reclaimed and recycled materials to create an architectural masterpiece – featuring an olive oil tasting bar, live music stage, dining room and large events space.
The name, Kassiani was derived from a ninth-century abbess and composer born in Constantinople around 810 AD Kassiani (also known as Kassia). Her music is very beautiful and Kassiani was one of the first known composers – and is the earliest female composer whose music has survived to the present day.
